Q#1 When are the Residential Energy Education grant applications due?
ANSWER: This is a request for proposal due by 5:00 pm EST on March 25 to operate energy optimization programs in Consumers Energy service territory. No grants are being offered through this process.
Q#2: If the Consumers Energy filing to the Michigan
PSC contains inconsistencies between the annual savings goals and budgets
specified in the tables versus those specified in the text, may the contractor
choose whether to use the tables or text as the basis for meeting the annual
savings goals and budgets for each program?
ANSWER: If contractors
encounter areas of inconsistency between values as reported in tables versus
the narrative text, the correct values to use are those as detailed in the
tables, and Consumers would appreciate this inconsistency being brought to our
attention.

Q#3 We need to know the
percentages of people in your service area that uses electric water heaters and
percentage of gas water heaters. This is vital in making sure the proper
goals are achieved.

The data listed below was obtained from the
Consumers Energy 2002 Residential Saturation Study.

Later in 2009, we expect to have updated saturation results from our 2009 Residential Saturation Study.
Q#4: I have a question regarding the "Free Measure Kits." Are they being provided by CMS? If not, what is the source of funding?
ANSWER: As part of the contractor budget on page 11 of RFP #5, this number includes procurement of these kits on behalf of the contractor.
